Lesson 5 - Your Inner "Slime Textbook Wizard"

Practice. That's the only way to get better. It's a strange thing to practice, but you can. Practice against an AI (computer) here, here, or here. These are kinda frustrating. There are two ways out of that: there are FAQs that usually explain the different skills used to beat them. I do recommend them, (after all, I use them) but don't only use those. Also, practice all your skills in the "warm-up round" here. I even play with both hands (that's how I make my replays)!

Lesson 6 - Creativity

The goal of this lesson is, for the first time, NOT to be a "Slime textbook wizard". What is a "Slime textbook wizard"? It's doing everything perfect out of the book. WITH NO FREEDOM! This time, I want making mistakes, taking too long, and doing absolutely nothing at all from the skills "textbook".

Well, okay. No textbook rule about that. Heck, add some textbook stuff if you want. This is very comparable to a modern scientist. In High School, he/she had textbooks. Now that he/she is a pro scientist, does he/she quote from his/her textbook? Probably not directly. Sure, once in a while these textbook rules come up, but the world isn't ruled by textbooks! Just try it. Even go to the Replayer and make up a serve, keep it, and if it's good, call it, maybe, the "Frank Serve" or the "Caroline Serve" or whatever. KEEP THE POP-UP URL IN YOUR HEAD! If it's good, go here if you don't have an account yet (or aren't logged in). Then, at the end of the URL of this page, replace Lessons_From_Hedgehogs4Me_Part_2 with whatever you want the name of your serve to be (using _ for spaces). WAIT! DON'T GO YET!!!!! When you go there, press the "edit" button on the top of the page, then Copy&Paste the SlimeWiki code (on the bottom of the pop-up window, 9 lines. If, like me, you only see 7 lines, and not even the whole page, Copy the line above it and the one under it) onto the box on the page you're editing. STILL DON'T GO!!! Now, press "enter" (or "return" if you have a Mac) to go to the next line in the box. write "[[Category:Serves]]" on the bottom. Press "Save Page". Can you remember all that? No? Write it down. Okay, now leave.

Test Using AFL Slime on Practice Mode or the Replayer

Part 1 - Serves

1) Do a Tip Serve on your first try.
2) Make up a serve (you don't have to save it). It has to work on your first try, no dropping! In other words, get the ball across without dropping it in a way that no one has before!
3) Do a Bastard Serve or any kind of Spike Serve on your first try. If your bastard serve messes up, turn it into a spike serve!
4) Hit the ball very lightly, as if you were about to do a backwards Double-Forward Serve. Now recover and get the ball over the net without dropping it.

Feel free to submit it after the colon if you got a 4/4 (go -~~~~)-->:

Part 2 - AIs

1) Beat the Pathetic White Slime without using a single Tip Serve
2) Try to win or get a game of over 5 minutes against Slime 2004
3) Block any AI's shot.

Feel free to submit it after the colon if you got a 3/3 (go -~~~~)-->:

Part 3 - Real People

Have a slime friend? If not, just skip this part and make the test out of 7. But if so,
1) Beat a real person in AFL or NRL Slime. Not in warm-up mode, in the real thing! Calculate your score out of 8 and put it into a percentage.

Oh, out-of-7s, put yours into a percentage too.

Did You Pass?

If you got 85% or more, you passed and are all ready for real slime stuff! Get out of here!

Shoo!

Those are my serves the first one's kinda lame but the second one is my second thru-net serve ever. ^^ Thanx for the great help!- XL

</this was my first ever through net serve. thank u! you can call em whatever u want.> <applet codebase="http://oneslime.net/replayer" code="SlimeReplayer.class" width="750" height="375">

Hey, good job! I like the second one. The second and third ones should be pages.
