FAQ
From SlimeWiki
This is a page for Frequently Asked Questions. Only general Slime questions should be placed here. You may have a question about this website, which will be listed under OneSlime.net FAQ. Or, if you have a question about a specific game, try looking at the FAQ page for that game (eg, go to the One Slime FAQ or view the list of FAQs).
Hit the edit link at the top of the page, and insert your questions here! Even if you don't have an answer, someone else will and it will probably be posted here soon. If your question has disappeared, then either check to see if it has been moved to another FAQ or if it is being discussed in the talk page.
What other slime games are there? If you look on one of my slime pages (look at the links on the left), you will see links to one player games, two player games, different game types (volleyball, soccer, and cricket).
Is there a networked version? Yes. Go to OneSlime Live where you can meet people to start networked games. The game was developed by the guy(s) at networkslime.com which at the time of writing seems to have vanished :(
How do I enter a competition? There aren't any competitions planned in the near future, if I do plan one then I will post details on the relevant pages. Please do not email me asking to enter - I don't keep a waiting list.
Why is it called Slime Volleyball? Well there was originally this game on the web called Slime Volleyball, which was a one player version. We here at UWA discovered it in 1999 and thought "Wouldn't it be great if there was a two player version with better physics?" So Quin Pendragon wrote it. And kept the original name.
Is the source code available? For some versions of the game, yes. If so, there is a clear link to the source on the game's page. If not, please don't email me asking me to send it.
I'm an epileptic. Can I play? Well yeah, but don't sue me.
Huh?! The ball just went through me! What sort of a stupid game is this? Read this article.
What is an ace? Oh, come on. Where your serve goes hits the ground without the other slime touching the ball.
What is a clanger? A clanger is when you don't bother to move to hit the ball and you lose the point, you spike the ball into the net and lose the point, you have control of the ball (have touched it at least 3 times) and can't get it back over, or if your serve doesn't go in.
What is a winner? A winner is when you win a point and your opponent doesn't touch the ball between you hitting it and the ball hitting the ground. An ace is not considered to be a winner.
How do I copy my replays to display them on this page?
Once you have made your replay with the replayer, you should get a page in which the URL is something like http://oneslime.net/replayer/showreplay.php?id=(number). You then look for something that says: If you want to enter this replay in the Slime Wiki, copy the following nine lines and paste them into the article:
Simply copy the nine lines of text below that and paste it into a page, such as this one (although I wouldn't recommend this one).
If you think you have done all this, yet it doesn't work, contact me on my talk page.
